Hi..we are Tokio Hotel…and you are watching Ador.Fr…

Bill: Very good…we have a lot to do…because our new album will be released very soon. We are fine…a little bit sleepy…but fine.

Bill: The song is about a girl, that has no real feelings, is not able to love and uses an act.

Bill: No…not in the last years, because I was not in a relationship…but we get a lot in touch with people…without true feelings…people , who you use to act.

Bill: Oh…you can’t say. I don’t have a favorite version. There is no song, that i love more or less. German and English both are completely us….and it comes to the fans to choose their favors.

Bill: No… we don’t see us to be so dark-minded. Actually in every song there is a positive message…and we really don’t want them to sound negative. None of us has a dark and evil personality.

Tom: Sure

Bill: OK Tom has ….But otherwise we are all quite normal.

Bill: This song describes very good our life. Most of the time, we are…not like imprisoned…but there are always walls around us. It describes a bit the situation in which we are.

Tom: For us it is very important to take the fans in some kind of way with us. We have TH-TV…our homepage and my Blog. We want to give the fans an idea, how we are…when the spotlight is off. What is in our interest and so on….and therefore we use the internet…that is very important for us.

Bill: Of course we missed a lot. We are not normal Teenagers, who had a normal teenage-life. You give it up…of course and you miss a lot…. of course there is also a negative side.

Tom: Lucky enough…we have done it before. We started our teenage-years already at the age of 10.

Bill: Of course…for me it is very important…and for me it is fun….for me fashion and music belongs together. It goes side by side…it is a part of my personality…I am not faking….This is something that i want to do…and it is really me…and for me it belongs together… with the music, the videos and pics…ja

Bill: Ja…always…we will always make music. We stick together as a bad for almost 10 years. We know each other for a long time. I believe, we will always make music…even if people eventually don’t want to listen to us anymore..we will make music for sure… Certainly everyone of us…maybe will do some other stuff…or maybe we take a break…but i am sure…that we are still making music in the next 10 years.

Bill: I love Aerosmith…i would love to be with them on one stage.

Tom: Unfortunately Jessica Alba does not sing….

Bill: We are incredibly happy about that. That’s right…we have unique fans. I understand…that some bands get jealous about that…so would I. Because…it is the best audience you can imagine….very energetic…always there…loud…that is fun…as you can see right now in front of the doors…..they are always there and support us…that is a really good feeling.

Bill: Ja..we want to thank them for their support and the welcome…and i hope we will have a lot of fun together with the new album.

Bill: The most difficult is choosing the songs out. We’ve written a lot of songs and took us time. The most difficult thing is to pick out songs to the disc. Which 14, it is in the meantime 14 songs, should be on the disc? Which of them would deserved to be included on the disc? With the “automatic” we have a good feeling. We thought the song would be good as the first on the disc. It is a good entry to the music world our disc consists of.

Tom: A song is never enough to understand the entire disc. If we could we would send out ten songs as singles. so people who like … we have so many facets. You can hear all sorts of different influences in our songs. Our album may not sound too monotonous.

Bill: It was very exciting to make the video. We flew to South Africa and it took five days to record the video. I looked forward to hearing the song when I was driving. Most people also think the song fits well. It has at least something to do with cars. It was cold during the sessions. We had not expected. We had heard that there were tigers, giraffes, and very hot. But it was cold. We recorded in the desert …

Tom: the sun shining ..

Bill: It looks hot. There seemed to be good weather, but we had to have jackets on. But it was fun to record the video.

Bill: We did not try to get it to sound a certain way. It came along the way, while we recorded. There is something more electro in it. It sounds like Tokio Hotel. You can certainly hear that it is us. But we have also tested new things, because we finally had the time to write new songs. We have long been on tour with the old songs, because we later made the English disc. I recorded “monsoon” the first time when I was 14 years old. And we had the song on the tour last year. Therefore, it was weird to finally write new songs. To see in which direction we wanted to go with our music. On the new album, we’re playing not only on guitar, bass and drums, but we have tried to create a whole new sound universe. We have experimented with all the technical possibilities that we have.

Tom: I think it sounds a little ridiculous when bands release a new disc and says: “Now we have become more mature.” Bill’s voice has obviously been a bit deeper, therefore sounds “automatic” a little different, but basically we have made the music we want to create.

THe Interview

Are you content with the new Record?

Bill: We are so content right now. It is so exiting because we had a long recording and producing and worked on it for so long and now it will be released and… it is , so to say, like a baby. While the recording you don´t really know what you do and you just do what you like and you´re so happy with it but then the exiting time begins when the release is and you´re curious. But we are extremely happy with it. We took so much time for it tried new things. We are content for sure.

Is there any relation with the tittle humanoid?

Tom: Yes there is. Humanoid was like a feeling Bill and me had our live long and while writing the songs we noticed that this title would fit. It developed while the long recording process, nearly one year, we felt it would fit as the records name.

The record will be released German and English the same day, how does it feel to sing English? Is it different?

Bill: It was a big challenge to do it in both languages the same time. The last time we had more time and translated it afterwards. It was more labor than we expected because we wrote it in both languages and it was double-work, more than every other band has, also shooting the videos in two languages but we wont do any version without the other. I needed to ease into it . Mainly we turned back to what we started with nearly ten years ago. we used to make English in German and English and we do it again. It feels good.

What´s like to be famous in the USA and Canada?

Tom: Great! I mean, we hope to be famous in as much countries as possible . We´ve never been to japan but want to do so, hopefully this year. But for us it is amazing, for sure, to be famous in countries like Canada and the USA. There can´t be enough countries we´re famous in!

Are the fans different to the German ones?

I think every single fan is different to the others. You cant compare it between countries. You can´t say Canadian fans are like this and french like that.

Bill you had a photo shooting with Karl Lagerfeld for German Vogue. What was it like?

Bill: It was great. Those things are dreams you can make come true along the way. I had a lot of fun and was happy to do something like this. We got along with each other very well and i like Karl. It was nice to work with him , it was a great shooting. It was fun!

Karl is called to be a perfectionist. Did you have to suffer?

Bill: I think we understood each other well in this point because we both are perfectionists and we knew what we wanted. It was the shortest shooting i ever had. It worked out great.

While the last year you also had problems with stalking. Is this the dark side of being famous?

Bill: Yes, it is. This are the things you have to get along with. It´s one of the negative aspects.

Did the stalking end?

Bill: I think it will never. There are some actions now.

Tom: We are on the road right now so we don´t really notice what is happening, at least not as much as we would if we were at home. we tried to be a little private, but it was hard.

They say you beat a girl. Isa there still any action?

Tom: Yes, there is.

Gustav you were attacked with a beer Glass (?). Painful, right?

Gustav: Yes it was.

Tom: But we went to so much more painful things, cause we fight nearly everyday and that causes much pain.

Georg, you got a girlfriend?

Georg: Yes.

And the others?

Bill: I had no relation while Tokio Hotel. I´d to say something different, but I can´t. I think it´s ridiculous if you hide that you got a girlfriend. If i were in love you would know.

The new record will be release. And then?

Bill: We are travelling and promoting and planing our tour. We haven´t got any time. I think we will be busy till December without a day off 😉

Last question: Did you like to be out of publicity for a while or did you miss being busy?

Bill: It felt good not to say your own face everywhere for a while but with all the shit that has been written you wanted to give interviews and you want to make music, for sure, so it´s good to be back. We were writing the record the whole time and we want it to be released now. I can´t imagine doing this job for a long time, maybe years. if you did it for a while you want to do it again and again.

Tom: We have been here so little time that we haven’t seen many girls. Those few who have seen, are very promising.
