Tom, your brother will have his operation either today or tomorrow, how does Bill spend his days at home?

Tom: Bill lies in bed most of the time and watches videos. We threw him a lot of/buried him under DVDs so he´ll shut up. Right now he´s watching the entire series of Prison Break, he get´s totally into it. Now and they he shuffles to the refrigerator in his trainings outfit and get´s himself something to eat. When he sits himself in front of the TV with a can of beer, to watch football (I assume), then I am truly proud of my little brother. I think, he can really become something, he´s taking it slow.

Nice brother, Tom cooks for the sick.

Who cooks for Bill?

Tom: Right now I cook him spaghetti with my special sauce every day. The sauce is in all modesty absolutely the best. Bill is probably sick of it, but without his voice it´s hard for him to complain. Although he should be quite quiet even with his voice. Bill is actually a worse cook than I am.  Now and then Mom comes to visit, then you can really tell Bill is excited, when she takes over the cooking.

Bill is not allowed to speak for 10 days after the surgery He has to go to a speech therapist and says his producer and manager of the young singer with the troubled voice,

David Jost:  “He absolutely has to stick to the therapy to recover”

When will the surgery take place? When is he allowed to talk again? When is he allowed to sing?  At the moment Bill Kaulitz (18) is in a clinic, rests his voice and is preparing himself for the surgery.  A cyst on his vocal chords has to be removed. His brother Tom (18) is by his side 24/7.  Bill is really scared about his voice.  Tokio Hotels producer and manager told the B.Z.,

David: “The surgery is expected to take place on monday.”

And one can already expect that this won’t be a “fast thing”, even though the surgery is kind of small (endoscopic; it means through the mouth with the help of a surgical microscophe) and would go smoothly.

Jost explains: “After the surgery Bill is not allowed to speak for 10 days and the healing process of the operated vocal chord has to get checked by a doctor on a regular basis. The therapy at the speech therapist will take about 3 weeks.”

How is Bill, what is he thinking about, what are his wishes?

David Jost: “Bill is crazy. All the time he’s thinking about when he will be able to be back on stage with a mic. He has a bad conscience because of the cancelled gigs.  But this is stupid, when he thinks like that you really have to stop him.  Bill hates it when he gets instructions, but after the surgery he absolutely has to stick to the recovery – even if you have to make him do that!”

Bill is fearing for his voice
He is lying in his bed and is taking medication
to calm down his vocal cords.

Bill Kaulitz , the singer and girlmagnet of  Tokio Hotel,  has got a cyst on his vocal cords and is waiting to be operated for it.  According to his manager,

David Jost: “In the next 5 days it will happen”,

The young star has taken aspirin against his headache in the last few days, “these have to get out of his blood system first”, Jost tells. “During surgery it could lead to complications”.

The fans are worrying about the young star.

Says manager: “The surgery and the cancelled concerts are on Bill’s mind. Taking that into consideration it isn’t going well with him at the moment, & his brother is constantly on his side”.

Fear for the surgery? And that his voice will be damaged?

David: “Yes, of course he has big fear for the operation and his voice. This is just horror for a singer, but without the surgery the chance of permanent damage will be even bigger”.

With a cyst on your vocal cords you can’t really talk, not to mention sing.  Every note Bill sings, the sound isn’t spreaded throughout his vocal cords the right way, without the surgery this problem will keep coming back.

All concerts from the “1000 hotels European tour” had to be canceled. If and when the shows will be played again will be decided after the operation.  Healing time after the surgery: 2 to 3 weeks.
