Tokio Hotel: thank you to the fans!

Tokio Hotel to thank their fans with a sweet clip for the win at the MTV EMAs 2013!

Sunday the MTV EMAs 2013 were held in Amsterdam. The award of ‘Biggest Fans’ race was very exciting, because One Direction, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and 30 seconds to Mars were also selected to stand next to Tokio Hotel. Musicians who all have a fairly large fan base! But in the end, by their fans, the boys from Tokio Hotel reached victory.

As a small thank you, the band posted a few lines and Bill and Tom shot a little video:

“We knew it had been previously, but now it’s official! The aliens are the greatest fans in the world! We could not be happier! It makes us proud that we have your support and we want to thank every one of you! Thank you! Bill, Tom, Gustav and Georg”

We look forward together with Tokio Hotel  for their win at the MTV EMAs 2013! Now, there can be but again new music from the guys, Yes?

Tokio Hotel has the best fans in the world!

“Tokio Hotel” must be really lucky. Although we hear nothing from them musically for years, they have won the “Biggest Fans Award” at the this year’s EMA 2013 .

Bill and Tom Kaulitz could not even be in Amsterdam on the spot, so they recorded a video for her fans. And the two brothers from “Tokio Hotel” thank the best fans in the world.

The “Tokio Hotel” fans are still pleased with so much recognition from their stars.

Tokio Hotel Still Has The Best Fans In The World

Yesterday we were watching the MTV European Music Awards in Amsterdam and we got all excited when we saw that Tokio Hotel was nominated for ‘Biggest Fans’, but because their last record and gigs already happened a few years ago, we didn’t have very high hopes for them to win the award this time. After all, they faced competition from hugely popular acts such as Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, One Direction and Lady Gaga! We know since the year that the band took part in our second ‘Fashion against AIDS’ campaign (2009) with their ‘Rock Hard F**K Safe’ T-shirts that Tokio Hotel has very loyal fans, but would they make it this time? In one word: YES. As Bill Kaulitz says in the ‘Thank you’ video that the band put on Facebook just after the win (he was there with his brother Tom; no idea where Georg and Gustav were, but I guess the twins are back in Los Angeles): “We just have the best fans in the world!” If the fans are so fierce now, expect them to be at least doubly so after the new record comes out later this year. We can’t wait!

Live Blog: …. & Biggest Fans!

Next up, the award that all of you MTV EMA fans have been working SO HARD to pick for the past few months! We started with 20 contenders, and you narrowed them down to the final nominees by joining Fan Teams to support your favourite artists. And tonight, rapper Dizzee Rascal announced the winner of the Biggest Fans EMA. They are….. TOKIO HOTEL !!!!!! Congratulations, Aliens! How very fitting, considering the outer space theme of the event, that ALIENS would emerge triumphant! Sorry to Lady Gaga’s Little Monsters, One Direction’s Directioners, Thirty Seconds to Mars’s Echelon, and Justin Bieber’s Beliebers…we know you worked super hard to support your artist as well.

It’s official: Tokio Hotel have the biggest fan base in the world

The band — who hasn’t released an album since 2009 or toured since 2011 — took out the EMA for Biggest Fans on the red carpet, beating out favourites Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and One Direction for the title.

Dizzee Rascal announced the award on the pre-show red carpet, playing on the emotions of enthusiastic Beliebers by announcing that Justin was the winner.

“And the winner is… Justin Bieber. Just kidding, it’s Tokio Hotel,” the ‘Bonkers’ singer joked.

The group remained in top spot since voting opened last month, tweeting a whole lotta love to their loyal fans.
