As you may or may not be aware of, THe NME Music awards had our boys, Tokio Hotel nominated in THe ‘Worst Band’ category.  I chose not to report THis at THe time it came out due to it’s pure obscurity.  I’m not just referring to THe totally unjust suggestion THat Tokio Hotel could ever be THe ‘worst band’.  But, I just feel THat any legitimate Awards shouldn’t be bashing entertainers wiTH negative acknowledgements.

Well THat being said, THe winners of THe worst have been in many articles around THe web since.  AlTHough I don’t approve of The negativity of the category, it is still exciting to see ‘Tokio Hotel’ mentioned in mainstream US news.  In Europe you can probably hear THeir name mentioned daily, but in Canada und THe US it is not so common.

Oh, und… TH Did Not ‘win’ THis so-called award.  The Jonas Brothers took highest placing in THe categories of ‘Worst Band’, & ‘Worst Album’

THe article THat promoted my posting just had a merely a mention of TH in THis statement;

Also nominated in the category were Scouting For Girls, Tokio Hotel, Fall Out Boy and, strangely, Oasis.”

As a general rule, I will not post rumour.  I am posting THis one because it just keeps buzzing around.  It isn’t someTHing THat will hurt THe boys in any way, so… I decided to post.

(16.02.2009)

Tokio Hotel’s New album is full of surprises.  Little by little we get new details on the new album, which surprised all the fans and will be ready by this spring. The biggest surprise is that the singer Bill Kaulitz will play the violin, an instrument, which is taught in school.

Reportedly, Bill Kaulitz will play the violin on one song from their new album.  As published by web Saratoga.com, Bill said, “Yes, I learned violin in the school. It was not anything that I was choosing, it was obligatory in the course of music. I thought that in a sad song that I composed, I might play with the violin some parts. But, of course, I will keep on singing.  We have not chosen yet the first single, but I will not be playing the violin in the middle of a video or in the stage. In the song, it is me who has recorded the fragment, but in the stage we will have an orchestra that will accompany us. And that the fans do not worry, we will only have band in this song.”  This band surprised us every day!

Now, THat being said… it is not even certain THat any of THis is true, or THat That is a Bill quote.  So, don’t get your hopes up, or down, or whatever THis rumour does for you until we hear it directly from TH THemselves. <=)

THis was a pivotal performance for THe boys.
It was THe 1st performance since Bill’s THroat surgery to remove a cyst on his vocal cords.
We were all worried for him, THinking he was going back to work too soon.

(03.05.2008)

The band’s label confirms to PEOPLEmag that Kaulitz will be well enough to perform on May 3 at the Bamboozle festival at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, NJ.

May 3rd, 2008. Less than two weeks after German rock band Tokio Hotel was forced to cancel their sold-out tour while lead singer Bill Kaulitz underwent vocal chord surgery, the band was scheduled to perform at the Bamboozle Festival 2008 concert.

Doctors removed a cyst from the bands frontman Bill Kaultiz’s vocal chords, and then ordered the singer to complete silence for 10 days. The surgery was successful. The band’s label confirms that Kaulitz will be well enough to perform on May 3 at the Bamboozle festival at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, NJ.

At Saturday night now the Magdeburger stood with his three bandmates, on stage in New Jersey. At the “Bamboozle-festival” – the first performance after the operation. Because of the still prescribed voice cord-rest Tokio Hotel only played three songs. “Ready Set Go”, “Break Away”, & “Monsoon”.

Even though, the US-album wasn’t released yet,
“4000 fans stood in front of the stage and could sing every song along by heart”, band-manager David Jost says.
“Bill seemed to be pretty impatient and tensed up before the performance, but when he stood on stage, all the anxiety was forgotten”.

The Bamboozla Festival in New Jersey performed already celebs like the Rolling Stones, Prince and Nirvana. Now the American rapper Snoop Dogg stood on stage before the Magdeburger. A full blood musician, who looked at the German newcomers with interest for sure.
Also playing the festival: Snoop Dogg, Gym Class Heroes, and Panic at the Disco.

The performance came just three days before the band released their first English language CD, Scream, in the U.S.
