The question remains: Why doesn’t the band – if it’s really true that they were stalked like that – just clear it all up? Maybe there’s a simple explanation for their silence: Criminologist Jens Hoffmann at least [who apparently has written a book which he casually holds into the camera] always gives the same advise to his client when they’re being stalked:

Hoffmann: First, it’s generally important that the stalker doesn’t get any fodder that could make him bite. I.e., if the stalker gets contacted from the surroundings of the celebrity, from his office, that he’s being recognized – then the danger is great that he gets fixated and stays on it. So, you have to just ignore a stalker, that’s a very important rule. When you have a case of stalking, where somebody is zeroed in on you – then you have to see what works best in this case. Contacting the police can be a way to draw a line, but that can also lead to an escalation.
